Hi, my name is Ken Lengel II. I am the editor of Borestead.com. I wanted to be the first to greet you as you delve into the mysterious works of A.W. Borestead. You need know little about me, other than knowledge of my role as the editor. A little context to Borestead’s works though is necessary before diving in.
From time to time through working my tech job I get computers donated to me by people who no longer need them. Often, I’m asked to wipe the computer, and then do whatever I please with it afterward. I normally don’t investigate the files except for this recent occasion. Recently I received a computer from one Mrs. Borestead, and was tasked to recover any writing her late husband might have done, and to determine if it was understandable.
Before delving into information on his writings, I must mention that little is known about the late A.W. Borestead and his wife, and they did their best to keep it that way, staying off social media and the internet in general. I have never met him or his wife, and was mailed his laptop after an email exchange with his wife. Other than my access to his writings, I have no more information about him than the average person. Without Mrs. Borestead being willing to verify her or her husband’s identity, I feel I must make this disclaimer:
There is no evidence that supports the existence of one A.W. Borestead or his wife. I am in possession of writings that are attributed to him, but cannot be verified.
I will assume as true Mrs. Borestead’s claim that A.W. Borestead was a real man who lived to the age of 58, passing away early 2024. All that said, the writings however, still exist, and I find them interesting. In cleaning his computer, I found several pieces of consequence. I asked Mrs. Borestead if she would be so kind to grant me the publishing rights to Borestead’s work. She allowed it, requesting only that his writings be made available free of charge to the general public. This website is my attempt to do just that. I will be going through and editing his works where needed, as well as adding editor’s notes to help clarify some of the deeper philosophical sections.
